Clickdoc terms of use

Clickdoc is a Chrome extension that records your clicks into a step-by-step guide with screenshots, entirely on your computer. These terms cover the extension, the free plan, and paid licenses. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. If something is unclear, email clickdochelp@gmail.com.
What you are agreeing to
By installing or using Clickdoc, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. Clickdoc is made and sold by an individual in Australia, referred to below as "we" or "us".
Your license
When you buy a license, we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Clickdoc under the plan you bought. A Personal license is for one person and up to 3 devices. A Team license is one key for up to five people and 5 devices. The store counts each activation: a Personal key allows 6 in total and a Team key 10, so reinstalling is fine. If you run out, email us and we will sort it out.
You may not sell, rent, share, or give away your key, and you may not redistribute the extension or a modified version of it. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or work around the licensing checks, except to the extent the law says we cannot stop you.
The free plan
Without a license you can make up to 10 guides. Every guide you export on the free plan carries a "Made with the free version of Clickdoc" line at the foot of the document, in every format we export — the downloaded HTML file, the rich copy you paste into Docs, Notion or Confluence, and the Markdown copy. There is never a mark on a screenshot or inside a step, on any plan. Everything else, including full export, works the same as the paid version. You may use the free plan for as long as you like.
Purchases and refunds
Licenses are sold through Gumroad. Gumroad is the merchant of record: it takes your payment, handles taxes, and sends your receipt. Gumroad's own terms apply to the payment itself.
If Clickdoc is not for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the full amount, no questions asked. Once a purchase is refunded, its key stops working.
License checks
When you activate a key, the extension checks it with Gumroad once to confirm it is genuine. After that it re-checks about every 30 days when you are online. If you are offline, your copy keeps working. If a key has been refunded, the next check will deactivate it and the extension returns to the free plan.
Your content
Everything you record, and every guide you make, is yours. It stays on your computer. Nothing you record is ever sent to us, and we have no way to see it. Where you send an exported guide is up to you. See the privacy policy for the details.
No warranty
Clickdoc is provided as is. We do not promise it will work on every site, with every version of Chrome, or without bugs. Websites change, and a recording that worked yesterday may need editing today. We do not make any warranty beyond what the law requires.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from Clickdoc is capped at the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the effective date at the top changes with it. Using Clickdoc after that date means you accept the new terms. We will not change the price or seat count of a license you have already bought.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute is to be resolved in Australian courts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to something else.
