Tango's distinctive feature is not the capture — it is what happens afterwards. The workflow lives in Tango's cloud, and it can be replayed as an in-app guidance overlay: the reader opens the real application and Tango points at the next thing to click. That needs the guide to be hosted, addressable and running inside the reader's browser, so the product is a subscription and the screenshots are on Tango's servers.
Clickdoc produces a document instead. The screenshots stay in the browser storage on your machine, the steps come from the clicks themselves, and you export an HTML file with the pictures inside it, Markdown, a rich copy for pasting, or a PDF. Nobody is guided live through anything; they read the guide, then do the work. In exchange there is no upload, no account, and one payment rather than rent.

That page states Pro at $15 to $26 per user, per month, and a free tier of 5 shared workflows with up to 10 users per workspace. Prices change without warning; check the vendor before you buy. Feature rows describe each product as its own site presented it during the same 5 September 2026 research pass; only prices and limits are quoted from the snapshot, and a cell that says so records nothing else.
One caveat on that free number, because the honest reading matters more than the smaller-sounding one: Tango's 5 is a limit on shared workflows. It caps distribution, not creation, so it is not the same kind of number as a cap on how many guides you may make, and this page does not present it as one.
Stay with Tango if
- You want in-app guidance overlays. The reader opens the real application and is walked through it live, step by step, instead of reading a document beside it. Clickdoc has nothing like this — its output is a file.
- You want hosted sharing. One link that anyone can open, kept current in one place, including for people outside your company. Clickdoc has no server, so there is no URL to send.
Both of those are running services, and a tool sold for a single payment cannot fund them. If you use them, the monthly price is buying something real.
What Clickdoc does not do
- No desktop-app capture. Chrome tabs only, on any site.
- No AI-written step text. Steps come from the clicks and the typed input, and you edit the wording.
- No cloud sharing and no hosted links. There is no server, so there is no URL to send — you hand over a file.
