Clickdoc

Dubble alternative that keeps screenshots on your computer

Dubble's free tier is the largest published in this comparison — unlimited guides, unlimited sharing and exports, blur included, at no cost. Clickdoc does not try to beat that. It is $49 once, and every screenshot stays in your own browser storage instead of going to a vendor's servers.

Dubble publishes the largest free tier here, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise

Of the products on this site's comparison pages, Dubble publishes the largest free offer. Its pricing page states unlimited guides, unlimited sharing and exports, and redaction included at no cost, with Pro at $18 per user, per month. The other published free tiers are numbers you can hit: Clickdoc's 10 guides, Folge's 5 local guides, Tango's 5 shared workflows, Guidde's 25 videos. Scribe publishes no cap at all, so there is no number to compare it on. Dubble's is unlimited by its own words.

So if the question is "which one gives me the most for nothing", the answer on the published pages is Dubble, and no amount of framing changes that. Clickdoc is not the cheaper starting point and this page does not claim it is.

The question Clickdoc answers is a different one: where do the screenshots end up, and how many times do you pay? A hosted product has to hold your images to serve them back as a link, which is exactly what makes unlimited free sharing possible and exactly what some people cannot allow. Clickdoc keeps the pictures in browser storage on your own machine, exports a file you hand over yourself, and costs $49 once for one person or $149 once for five seats. Those two facts are the entire pitch.

Competitor prices and limits as published on 5 September 2026, from the vendor's own pricing page: dubble.so/pricing. That page states Pro at $18 per user, per month, and a free tier of unlimited guides with unlimited sharing and exports and redaction included. Prices change without warning; check the vendor before you buy. Feature rows describe each product as its own site presented it during the same 5 September 2026 research pass; only prices and limits are quoted from the snapshot, and a cell that says so records nothing else.

The last row says what it says. Where that pricing page published nothing on a capability, this table records that rather than filling the gap with a guess.

Stay with Dubble if

Both of those need somebody's storage and bandwidth, which is what the $18 per user, per month is paying for on the plans above the free tier. A tool sold for a single payment cannot fund a service that runs forever.

What Clickdoc does not do

Pick Clickdoc if

The screenshots are the problem. If what you are documenting is an internal admin console, a customer record, a finance system or anything else where a picture of the screen must not be uploaded to a company you do not have a contract with, an unlimited free hosted tier is not an offer you can accept. Clickdoc records in Chrome, keeps every image in browser storage on that machine, and exports one HTML file with the pictures inside it, Markdown, a rich copy for pasting, or a PDF.

The price works the same way. It is $49 once for one person or $149 once for five seats, with no renewal — the licence is periodically rechecked when online and keeps working offline. Over a year, one Dubble Pro seat at $18 per user, per month costs more than a Clickdoc licence you never pay for again; the trade you are making for that is the hosted link and everything built on it.

The one-time-purchase comparison puts Clickdoc beside every tool in this set, and the Folge comparison covers the other product here that you buy once.
